“So, do you know what a spike is?” The senior asked to the class. “Well, a high point in one’s career?” Somebody from the first row exclaimed. “Yes sort of, but to paraphrase it more clearly, it’s something a person would remember about you after going through your 1-pager CV, and you know right, the company selectors only have, like 30 seconds to flip out the resumes of 449 people. If they don’t do that, the process would become, quite infeasible, wouldn’t it!?”

What would you do when you go to a retail store? You shop for your products, pay the bill and leave. But very few of us know what goes at the back end to provide the consumer with a smooth shopping experience. This is what we exactly do at the Planet-I shop (fondly known as PI-shop of IIM Indore), a student run retail outlet under the aegis of Merchand-I club. “Bringing Life to Planet I”, is the motto of PI shop which represents the club’s aim of serving the IIM Indore community by providing basic amenities. We sell a wide range of products from personal care to food and beverages.

My Life At IIM Calcutta PGPEX - Kunal Rustgi's Experience
I am filled with excitement experiencing life as a student again, cycling through to class with the best lake views on either side, in a campus spread across acres of land replete with natural beauty; loaded with a bag on my back and numerous thoughts circling my mind regarding the case which is to be discussed just a few minutes from now; A faculty with core expertise in his/her field is going to teach me something new in the next 1.5 hours, something which I could probably relate with my experiences; I am working on group projects with peers from different fields which gives me an opportunity to listen to different perspectives thereby shaping my thinking and enhancing my learning. Thus, I am full of life again and seek exciting avenues for myself in the future.

A Batch With A Difference, PGP32 - Abhijit From IIM Lucknow
“Here comes yet another bunch of them”, thought the creatures of IIM Lucknow when they saw a new bunch of people getting into the Gates of HelL. A cursory glance at these hapless folks and one could sense the utter “as usual-ness” of these anxious yet happy faces. But every once in a while, there come the exceptions to the rule, the ones who are less “as usual” than the others. Such is the batch of PGP 2016-18. “Yeah, so claims every random facchha that enters these gates” may be one of those things that may come to the mind of a seasoned HelLite upon seeing these seemingly myopic, run-of-the mill pompous claims. So let us give this batch a closer look.

Inauguration Of The Fifth Batch Of PGPM Of IIM Indore, Mumbai Campus
“MBA changed my life, and at the end of two years, it’ll change yours too.” Such is the impact of a management degree from an IIM in the words of Mr. S. Padmanabhan, Executive Chairman, Tata Business Excellence Group. Mr. Padmanabhan was the Chief Guest at the Inauguration Function of the fifth batch of IIM Indore, Mumbai Campus. The occasion witnessed the selected students and their proud parents from various parts of the country. The students will soon embark on a two year journey in the institute.

New Batch Of Students Bring In Oodles Of Ardor And Avidity At IIM Raipur
IIM Raipur welcomed its 7th PGP batch and 5th FPM batch with a four day orientation programme. As it is aptly said ‘The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step’, the new batch began with its journey with dreams and aspirations of becoming the corporate leaders. With the learning and skills that they would acquire here at IIM Raipur, the students are sure that they will be able to shape their corporate careers and turn their dreams into realities. The students from the incoming batch of PGP 2016-18 are from diverse backgrounds ranging from engineering, commerce, management studies, medical and life sciences. The students have shown a lot of enthusiasm and a spirit of healthy competition and have soon adapted themselves for the next two years of extensive corporate grooming.
