I was boarding a bus to Goa on the night of April 30th 2015, when I received a seat confirmation for IIM Indore. The next three days were a roller coaster ride, and so was my first year as a PGP student.
If you prayed for guidance from every B-School topper that ever was, the answer would be this. If you listened to the whispering trees in the hallowed portals of our premier institutions, they would tell you this.If there was a daily chant you muttered to get through your gruelling two years, it would be this.
Straight out of an undergraduate institute, a fresh graduate lands at Bengaluru International Airport at around 4.30 PM in the evening. With high hopes and anticipation he boards the bus to Bannerghatta Road. It took more time to reach the IIM Bangalore campus than flying from his home town to Bangalore. This is how he gets a first hand experience of Bangalore traffic.
It’s an almost warm, rainy day in July. The newly selected PGP Batch has just about arrived on campus. The experience begins even before one can actually reach the campus gate. As you move from Indore city, towards Rau on the outskirts, the transition is seamless. Soon, you’re on the straight road that runs from Rau to Pithampur. Ahead in the distance, out on the left, you see a white dome perched atop a small hill; there are a couple of minaret-shaped structures at the base of the hill and an almost circular, reddish-orange building close to the white dome.

During a girls gossip session in a wing… we realized that every guy at IIM B has a girl friend in campus or claims to have one outside the campus. Sadly, both might not be true. Here’s a successful MBA’s strategy.
