GIM Brings TEDx Talks For The First Time In Goa

An idea can change your life. We all believe in this aphorism, don’t we? So, if AN idea can change your life, imagine what 6 of them would do. That’s what happened at TEDx GIM on the 5th of this July. 4 TEDx Talks, 2 TED talks and an audience of 100. It was a sight to behold in the Institute Meneza Perenez, Panaji. Here, for the first time in the history of Goa, a TEDx event was organized. The students of Goa Institute of Management left no stone unturned in kicking off this legacy. Abhijeet Nair - Passionate Photographer At SCMS Cochin

Whoever thinks management education is only about assignments, presentations and keeping up with deadlines, can think again. The two years of your PGDM can also be used to groom your overall personality, while shining as an individual on campus. Abhijeet Nair of SCMS Cochin School of Business, Cochin has definitely done that by taking his passion for photography to a whole new level. The perennial favourite at college fests, his work has also received a mention from National Geographic International. That should say it all about our Star on Campus. Journey to VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur

11th July 2015 was a gloomy day. Whether it was because of the heavy downpour on the way to the railway station or the fact that I was going to leave home for the first time in 22 years, I still cannot comprehend. It has only been two weeks since then, and yet I do not remember the events of the day as vividly as I would like to. When I try to recollect, for it is important to try and recall goodbyes, what I do remember is water splashes on the road, the occasional whistle of a train approaching the platform and most importantly, a splurge of wide ranging emotions. But anyway, we’ve lingered long enough, and as important as this train journey from Kharagpur to Delhi was, it does not match up to the anticipation of an event that I know will turn out to be an epoch in my life - MBA.
