‘Tryst with God’s Own Kampus V2.0': Looking for Home - Vishaal Pathak shares his initial experience at IIM Kozhikode
What makes a home? Brick and mortar - four walls and a roof? An elaborate garden, a plush room to yourself, the aroma of a home-cooked meal that makes each day feel like a lazy Sunday afternoon? Familiar faces you've seen all your life - faces you wish you could see each day?
WOW! at MYRA - An account of the Welcome Week by an Incoming Student
WoW! MYRA indeed did it in an incredibly stylish way. The Week of welcome (WoW) could not have been better than this. We didn’t even realize that one week passed—listening and learning from great people from industry and academia. It was a great fun going to the one day adventure programme at Pandavpura and Mahadevpura where we did adventure activities and group tasks which were very helpful to know each other and bond very well. It was like a breath of fresh air, to energise us for the hectic academic schedule ahead. To organise such a great event it takes a lot of hard work and effort. So, on behalf of all the students, I would like to congratulate for this successful event and say “thank you” to the MYRA team, especially Lakshmi, Mr. Sumant Bakshi and Dr. Shalini Urs, and everybody who were involved in WoW.

"The First of its Kind" Induction Programme @ IIM Ranchi: Welcoming Newness in a Fresh Way !
The two-week long induction program for 2015-2017 PGDM and PGDHRM batches served its purpose of ice-breaking, bonding and information sharing, all while living up to the brand value of an IIM. Unlike the expectations of the students, the learning commenced right from day 1 (day zero being reserved for registration process), yet it was ensured that the students aren’t dismayed but amused. It began on 13th June with Dean, Prof. (Dr.) Pradip Kumar Bala addressing the entire batch with a welcome speech focusing on the mission and vision of IIM Ranchi. This was followed by the welcome speech by Director, Prof. Anindya Sen who motivated the students to work brilliantly while maintaining a personal philosophy of life. The entire induction program was meticulously designed by Prof. Gaurav Marathe.
IIM Shillong students Danced Away With Absolute Élan
Yes, we have hectic and jam-packed schedules throughout the day! Yes, we have multiple assignments to submit in a day! Yes, we have numerous competitions, case studies and deadlines to meet! Yes, we have too much on our plate! But that does not stop us from mining out some time, out of nowhere, to splurge it on little happiness of life. In an IIM, of all the things we learn, the most crucial learning of all time is that time is always short in life. So here in an IIM, we never get time but we have to make time. So when the Cultural Committee of our college arranged workshop for us to learn western dance forms, I grabbed the opportunity with open arms. Nothing can satisfy us more than indulging into activities which interest us. So every day, for the next 10 days, I dedicated two hours on learning something which I love- Dancing.
