In this session of 'Verbal with Sujit' we streamline through the subject of 'Verbs' this week. Verbs show a mental or a physical action (of the subject).
Over the last few years, the DI section of CAT has moved from “Data Representation” to “Data Interpretation”. Confused? What we mean to say is that in the past, your decision of whether to attempt or not attempt a particular set depended on what kind of Data Representation it was. Thus a student comfortable in graphs would search for sets containing in the paper and solve them. Or for that matter, a student who was not so comfortable in caselets would end up skipping all the sets on in a paper. However this strategy would no longer be valid. CAT has moved beyond a caselet or a graph or a table or so as to say, it is no longer important to establish how is the data represented. As the statistics suggest, graphs have almost gone missing in the last 8 CAT papers and special kind of data representations have crept in.

With exactly 30 days for the D Day, it is time for students seriously writing the exam to have an action plan for these 30 days and maximize their scores!
The most common phrase, “Don’t panic” is the first thing people might tell you before starting your CAT (Common Admission Test) preparation. As easy as it might sound, the importance attached with the above phrase is huge. More often than not, lack of composure during CAT proves to be the only reason why most of the applicants are not able to cross the final hurdle despite preparing well for the exam. That CAT is the toughest management entrance exam in the country, is a big MYTH. Yes, the preparation that goes towards cracking the CAT is extensive but with the right attitude and strategy, “belling the CAT” is easily achievable. I would like to share a few tips along with some important do’s and dont’s which could be useful for all CAT aspirants in their exciting journey ahead.
Adjectives and Adverbs are the words that describe or modify a sentence. Hence they are known as modifiers. An adjective modifies a noun, cannot do any other work. An adverb can modify a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. Adverbs often describe when, where,why or the circumstances of something.
