About two weeks into IIFT, and it’s already shaping to be the longest, yet the most fun-filled and eventful two weeks of my life.
Stepping through the entrance of the legendary red-brick building was an incredible experience. The legacy of the place commanded reverence. The classrooms, the floors, everything immortalizes the heritage that lies within the walls of this building. The eagerness and exhilaration to be a part of this institute was complemented with a speck of intimidation.
The Class of 2019 just started their life at IIM Shillong, and the first thing that we tell them is to prepare for as many corporate competitions as possible. It doesn’t matter if you win or not, at least take part. That’s how you learn. But, the very next question that we always get after this suggestion is, “What to do in a corporate competition?” Here is an essential guide to what the necessary approach towards a competition should be:
IIM Rohtak had shifted to its new campus this year, and the excitement is beyond expression. All the students were looking forward to stepping into a land where they have no externally imposed constraints. After going through the high-resolution pictures of beautifully designed buildings, students were flooded with energy to encounter the pure air at the peripheries of the city themselves.
As soon as I heard the term IIM culture, a question struck my mind: What is the difference between tradition and culture? Well, few months later, I got my answer. Let me explain this to you exactly the way I understood it.
Udaipur is a beautiful city of lakes also known as “The Venice of the east”. Permanent campus of IIM Udaipur is located near Balicha in Udaipur. Every day is unique here in IIM Udaipur, as you’ll get to learn something new, interaction with faculties and peers, and hostel life where we learn and enjoy a lot.
When I stare back into my life, I find that the last one year has brought me unique experiences, unique opportunities, and unique learnings, and most of that is because of my campus, which is unique in itself, and I’m proud of it.
