Memorable Classroom Experience At SIBM Pune - Satyam Thakur
Experience is what makes an individual. It separates the real from theoretical. There are experience from which one learns and grows into a better self. Same thing happened to me as well.

“The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched- they can only be felt from the heart.”
It was a beautiful Monday morning and I was preparing for the first operations class of MBA by Prof.Rajen Ganupley Sir. Also I had council interviews lined up. In short I had to prepare myself for a hectic schedule today. I was sitting at the front seat of my class with my friends waiting for our teacher to arrive and finally a teacher with more than 30+ years of experience arrives, he comes with a shoulder bag along with chart papers. So he gave his introduction , opened the bag and gave whistle to one of my friend and told to blow it at an interval of 1 hour for a break of 10 minute as we had a 3 hour class. Then he takes out a small bag containing chocolate and sweets. Before beginning with the class he requests us to offer prayer to God who has given us such a wonderful opportunity. We complete our prayer and then he starts teaching us using the charts and we have an interactive session .During the session he listens to the points made by each and every student and also appreciates them.I suddenly begin to realise that this is the session where I would be able express myself and positive energy refills me, MBA is going to be really transforming me is the thought that comes to my mind.He says I think that Charts will remain with you but what I wrote on the white board will vanish, then I come to know why he uses chart paper while teaching. I was already becoming a fan of this teacher. Then begins the fun part he decides to teach operations by an exciting activity. He asks my friend that are you married and my friend says “yes” and whole class starts laughing our teacher is awestruck and decides to choose some other student, he is not married so our Professor is relieved and he tells him that suppose your girlfriend name is “Bijli” and the light goes as soon as he uses the word “Bijli” and everyone in the room including our professor starts laughing like anything. After this we are due for our first break and the whistle blows. In the second session he begins with the activity he left with taking the name “Bijli” again and the light goes again and we are laughing, hooting enjoying and then light comes and he finally completes the activity. He teaches us certain aspects of operation along with rich practical experience. He is asking certain questions and the ones who give a very innovative and unique answer receive the chocolates or sweets as a reward. We arrive for our second break the whistle blows and I am thinking why are moving towards the end of this class. In the third session he shared with us practical experience of how he solved certain operational issues in various companies across the Globe. The day which I assumed will be hectic just became fun.
It was a class on a Sunday morning, with the special mention of “Please be on time, SHARP 9AM”. Subject was “Film Industry – A business perspective”.
