Empowering You and I - [ABGLP - NITIE, Mumbai]

1857 was a pivoting year in the history of India. The mutiny of sepoys in Meerut was the first war of independence against the British Raj and the foundation of Birla group by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in Pilani revolutionised India. From active role in Indian freedom struggle to development of a whole nation, Aditya Birla Group has shaped the lives of 1.32 billion Indians. Today, ABG is the third-largest private sector conglomerate in India with a revenue of US $48.3 billion.

ABG-changing lives, one idea at a time

We, humans, intrinsically have profound inclination for values and emotions. Emotions have always left an imperishable imprint on our hearts. That one song we heard as a kid passing by a forest or that one time we played a game of football in rain with friends, the tiniest of trigger brings the flashes of those moments back to us. My association with Aditya Birla Group is well, of a similar kind.

PART A: Why Aditya Birla Group is big to me? Our lives in a way has been greatly attributable to the growth of Aditya Birla Group. One of the primary reasons I could write an article and take part in a big competition as ABGLP is because of the freedom that our leaders have fought and earned for India. ABG was not only a success story after independence, but was also an important figure pre-Independence under the leadership of G.D. Birla, who closely worked with Mahatma Gandhi.
