"Our time was much simpler" We all have heard this line from our parents. Indeed, it is so true! Who else, could know about the fast-paced world we live in, other than us- the youth! Being from a humble background, fashion for me was limited to wearing bangles or applying henna on festivals. As if my ignorance was not enough to hold me back from learning about fashion, the rigorous curriculum of dental college made it harder for me to catch up.
Aditya Birla Group has impacted my life in various aspects, the most significant ones being telecom and mutual funds. The decision to choose Idea over other telecom service providers was completely influenced by word of mouth. The choice I made 7 years ago when I left home for the very first time turned out to be phenomenal. The superior quality of voice and data services at reasonable rates made me feel close to my family and friends and proved that distance is insubstantial in the present world of technology. Idea provided connectivity even in remote areas which most of the other service providers failed to provide. The customer service has been exceptional which has made me a loyal customer and this is the major reason of not switching to other providers like Jio despite providing services at fairly low prices and majority of the people were attracted by the free services initially. It made me believe in the fact that businesses thrive by leaving no stone unturned to take care of their customer’s needs and this is the way an empire is established. I used to be very happy when my family used to go for an outing to the city. With time, I came along to meet many people in my life with whom I interacted and shared ideas. There was one such instance when I had been to Pantaloons with my family and met one of their salespersons. A short person in his early 20s, he was a very sweet and gentle person with a calm nature who seemed to be very content with his job and the responsibility that comes with it. With successive visits, I became friends with him and came to know that he was a good student but couldn’t carry on further as his family’s financial condition wasn’t that great for him to study further and he had to drop out of his college to support his family. I felt sad for him as being a talented guy, he could’ve achieved better but he made me realize that he was happy with his current position as he was supporting his family and most importantly, his family was proud of him. I took it as a learning that whatever problem we may have to deal with in our life, we should never give up and stay positive.
