Aditya Birla Group And My Emotional Connect - IIM Nagpur
When we talk about a company, it is its tagline that comes first to our mind. For ABG, all the taglines are it "My world my way" or "your dreams our commitment," "Ek idea jo Badal de sab ki Duniya" among few are the ones I loved the most, and I must say which justify the product well too. If I talk about what importance the ABG group has in my life, I would say not much. But yes the house which I call my home has traces of ABG in it, the clothes I have in my wardrobe has traces of it, even the cellular connection at my home (now we have Vodafone connections after the merger) has traces of it. I won't use any technical words her in my write-up like my other friends to impress the readers reason being simple I just love writing about my genuine feelings and the most important reason is that I am a first year student with only one week experience of MBA classes, so I hope my write-up works without it. I am a very emotional person, thanks to my mom that I got most of my traits from her. When I first started doing Job, I was 22, and like any Indian, my first salary was the most important thing in my life. For a person coming from a typical Hindu family, the notion goes like- what the child has done for his/her parents with his or her first salary. I have no idea about others experience, but I am willing to share mine. I remember I was in Mysore, going out with my friends for the first time out of the campus. Generally in India, when a bunch of people goes out, they prefer to go to a mall, and like a typical Indian, I did the same thing too. Now my first visit was to Pantaloons. I know what most females will reply if I ask them what role did pantaloons played in their life? Being a female, I know the answer, but If you get the opportunity to ask any female about this, then do ask. You will get to know the impact it has on most of our lives.

Aditya Birla Group is one of the largest Indian Conglomerates. It has a wide range of Brands providing the best of quality and high value to customers and society at large. Since independence, it has been a key companion in India’s growth. Products like cement and aluminum have played an important role in the development of infrastructure development. It has been carrying the onus since the beginning and it has impacted our lives in ways we can’t even begin to comprehend. For instance, Idea after the merger with Vodafone is now the biggest company in telecom, Ultratech Cement also enjoys a fair amount of market share. Also, brands like Peter England, Van Heusen, Skult, Ralph Lauren, Planet Fashion has been fulfilling our clothing needs all along.

Life has various phases which you come to know at various point of time. The memories you make along, are both bitter and sweet. The challenges of life are no ordinary as they make you what you are destined to become! Life showed me its rough phase when my father passed away in 12th standard and all I could think of doing was crying. The phase was worsened because of my love life not withstanding at that point of time. But I was determined to make my mother proud and even with a storm of emotions going inside me I focused on my 12th standard and achieved 83.33%, which might not be the best out of me but still it was the best I could do then. I was not a regular speaker and hence the stage fear was prominent in me as well, but after joining college I started participating in various competitions and the fear faded away. I won some and I lost many, but I was getting the fruits in form of my confidence and spontaneity. I never run from responsibilities and when I was entrusted with the responsibility of being the Assistant Contingent Leader of my college team to National Level Financial Festival "Moneta 2016", We won the overall 2nd position in the event and became the first college from Gujarat to hold that trophy. I also joined a product selling company where I thought I would earn some money but that also became a part of the failure wall of my life But I could help few of my friends earn enough from it which was a sweet ending for me for that phase. In all, I have been failing multiple times and winning few times but I make sure that I learn all the time.

Aditya Birla Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate having operations in 35 countries and employing over 120,000 people. The 1st and foremost thing given by ABG to my generation is the Idea cellular. There were the days when mobile phones were not in use and people used to call their dearest one by landline phone. Moreover, the mobile phone towers were available only in big metros. The Aditya Birla Group came up with the Idea cellular covering each and every town in the country. The plans and charges were so simple that it was much easier for any illiterate person to operate. There was no fear of losing out the network because of well managed network towers. The other things include cement, life insurance and textile business. The huge transport infrastructure along with multi storey building were the key areas for developing nation. The most important thing for human life is his health and well being. With Aditya Birla Memorial hospital present in metro cities of India, it became easier to cure the most prominent issues like cancer, tumor etc. Allen Solly is one the premium brand ABG has given to market. Hindalco an ABG company provide the Indian railway with their largest copper requirements. The most important thing about ABG is they have presence in the sector which is on very high scale and there is almost no competition because of the huge infrastructure developed by Aditya Birla Group. Name the sector and Aditya Birla group is present. Construction, Apparels, Medical, Manufacturing, Telecom, Financial services etc. are having use impact on day to day life and ABG is present everywhere.

It was 20th August 2016 when I was going to appear for the first corporate interview of my life and was unable to decide a brand to buy a Shirt. A best friend of mine introduced me to Pantaloons where I was blown away by the magnanimity and the Aura of the store. Right from the staff who helped me in deciding the options from the best of the brands to the feedback at the counter; it was altogether a surreal experience. Pantaloons gave me the best in-store customer experience till now.
