I was the most pampered and loved child of my family. Post my admission to SRCC, I had to leave my home to pursue my higher studies. In my early days of college, it became very difficult for me to adjust in the new milieu & mostly far away from home striving to look out for myself. Suddenly the death of my grandma shook me from head to toe. She was my second mother and I was completely devastated. I still have the reminisce when I couldn’t sleep on nights, used to be anxious all day, more or less felt tiresome. The competitive environment of my college made me weaker and mostly the psychological pressure of friends turning each other down added the topping to it. I felt that the purpose of my life was on a dead-end since it grandma who wanted me to become an MBA from top B-schools. Sometimes though we hide to try our feelings, but we forget that our eyes speak. I was completely out of my track, one of my friends took me to a psychiatrist, but it didn’t work out. All of them gave up on me except my friend who stood always by my side no matter what happened. He used to take me to classes, help me prepare for competitive exams. Slowly and steadily I started to study and work hard. Initially, I used to give up but I wanted to fulfill my grandma’s dream and make her proud. Then at the age of 21, I got admission to SCMHRD still I am the youngest one. Despite all the problems in life, you should stand up and fight for yourself.
