Birla is a household name in India. Aditya Birla Group is one of the oldest and most respected group of companies in India. It has a lot of history and has achieved a proverbial aspect in Indian lives. Many brands of Aditya Birla Group have become an essential part of our lives and our life is incomplete without them. We use their products daily and they act like a good friend making our lives easier.

Part AThe roots of the Aditya Birla Group can be traced back to 1857 in the tiny village of Pilani, Rajasthan when Seth Shiv Narayan Birla ventured into cotton trading. Today, with operations across 35 countries, and revenues of US$44.3 billion, the Group is a leading player in aluminum, cement manufacturing, viscose staple fiber, carbon black, chemicals, copper, financial services, telecom, branded apparels, fertilizers, viscose staple yarn and insulators.Aditya Birla group has been part of our day to day life since childhood though was unaware of it that time I was in class 7th when my father bought a Birla Sunlife Insurance mutual fund for me and was too excited that time seeing my name on the mutual fund bond paper.My sister gifted me a shirt from her first salary and that belonged to Van Heusen, I didn’t know that it was a part of Aditya Birla Group. L had also bought clothes from other brands like Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, Peter England but I still didn't know that all were part of the grand Aditya Birla Group and slowly did I realize that it had become a part of our life.We used to ponder on the Idea’s advertisement during our childhood days with the tag line "What an idea Sir Ji" with Abhishek Bachchan as its brand Ambassador.During our college first year, there was a fresher’s event and a competition based on the tagline of brands was organized and we had to answer the brand and tagline respectively.Accidentally I found one tagline “Engineer’s choice” and that grabbed my attention; frankly speaking I didn't know that it was of Ultratech cement. So I came back to the hostel and searched on the same.Pursuing Engineering in Metallurgical and Material Science department made me come across Hindalco Industries Ltd; an aluminum and copper manufacturing company, while searching for internship and placement opportunities. Then I researched it and found that it is a subsidiary of the Aditya Birla Group. And finally, after detailed research, I came to know that ABG has been a part of our lives since its inception, and has impacted all of us in some way or the other. Starting from the house where we live, the vehicle in which we travel, the mobile phone which we use to connect with people, and the clothes which we wear, the Aditya Birla Group has contributed in all these fields.

Well, some say or rather question, what is life without challenges ? Well the other school of thought that also includes me base our understanding on the line that challenges is the real and true definition of life.
