Aditya Birla Group has played a big part in my life as I have been using products and availing services that are provided by Aditya Birla Group without actually ever stopping to think about it. Having the opportunity to compete for the Aditya Birla Group Leadership Program and thinking for a bit do I really realise that I have been surrounded by the products and services from Aditya Birla Group without even knowing that they are a part of Aditya Birla Group.
Ever since its inception in 1857, Aditya Birla group founded by the great visionary Seth Shiv Narayan Birla have touched millions of lives in India. It marked the beginning of an era in not just retail and telecom sectors but also in the financial, cement and textile industries. My first introduction to the products of the Birla group was with idea cellular. It was the sole reliable network with good 2g connectivity in my town back then. Possessing an idea 3G dongle early this decade was a moment of pride for an engineering aspirant like me. Just when I finished my high-school I was thrilled to enter "More", the then venture of Aditya Birla group, and buy groceries and vegetables at one place! In no time it became our childhood go-to place to buy exotic candies and biscuits. Growing up in an Indian middle-class family, big names of the textile brands from the Birla group always excited me. Ever since I became a salaried guy, textile outlets like pantaloons have become my one stop shop for all clothing needs. Specific brands like Van Heusen, Peter England are closer to my choice in satisfying my fashion appetite on every occasion. Visionaries can find ways to surprise you in the ways you can never imagine. My sister is thankful to me that I introduced her to Forever21, yet another smart move by the Birla group.
