Rise, Fall and Launch - SCMHRD

Rise, Fall and Launch - SCMHRD

I was born and brought up in a middle class humble family in Kolkata. My dad owns a humble wood factory and i have been associated with it from a very young age. Being a single child I was always the loved and the pampered one. It was going pretty well for me. I was an above average, obedient student in my school and passed my board exams with flying colours. Now the natural process that prevails in our society took place with me as well. I took science as my specialisation ad that was the turning point of my life. I was not able to cope up with my studies and the new freedom and appreciation received from family and friends got into my head making me over confident. I didn't stop there and went on to join the group of people that will never do any good for me. Twelve standard results hit me hard and that day I had a conversation with my dad that i will never ever forget in my life. That was the turning point of my life. I somehow managed to get good grades in joint entrance and got accepted at a good private institution in Kolkata, as my parents were afraid to send my out of Kolkata, because of the image that was created. The changing moment was that conversation that took me from being a six pointer in first semester to a 9.5 pointer in my eighth semester. This was the launch that I took and also got placed in a Start-up from the campus itself. I was the only one to get the job among the two hundred students who applied for it. This didn't quench my thirst for success. After working for one year and giving it all my heart I got the opportunity to join SCMHRD, top 20 premier b-school in India. After getting into the college my hunger to prove myself has increased and everyday I want to be the better version of myself. The lesson that i got from my experience is that giving up is never an option and when life kicks you down, your comeback should be stronger and the kickback harder.
