My summer internship in the fashion retail industry. By this, I go exposed to all the leading fashion brands worldwide and across India. Through this I got to know a lot about the operating, managing and working of one of the leading and strongest Fashion Retail brands in India that is Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited which includes Pantaloons and Madura Fashions. It’s India’s largest Fashion and Lifestyle brands with a strong retail Network. They include a various brand portfolio which has leading brands It is a family shopping destination for everyone with their choice of products which includes a wide range. We have taken ABGRF as the model for studying the Fashion Retail Industry which is growing. When we visited the stores for the market research purpose of our summer internship we interacted with all the store's managers and staff of ABGRF. We observed the working and distribution channels of ABGRF and its stores location which are strategically located. The type of product displayed and the offers that they provide everything we observed and learned were very helpful for the progress of our project. Because of the visit and interaction with the store's managers and people we got to learn a lot about its growth in the fashion retail sector. It stands as a reference for us. At last this ABGRF stood as a milestone and we acknowledged it for the Guidance and help that it provided us in achieving our goals in the project of the development of the Fashion Retail Industry in India.

Aditya Birla Group was founded in 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla. It has a legacy of more than a 100 years in India. The group has a wide and expansive presence over various business sectors in India such as metals, cement, apparels etc. It is the third largest Indian private sector multinational group which functions all over the world. ABG has contributed to the development of key business sectors in India which are Agribusiness such as fertilizers, cement in which the group’s business unit Ultratech is the largest cement company in India, non ferrous metals under Hindalco, carbon black’s largest manufacturer in the whole world, branded apparels business under Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd, aluminium , textile , fibre , telecom services and financial services under the umbrella brand of Aditya Birla Capital. Since its establishment, ABG founders played an important supportive role in Indian Freedom Struggle and laid the strong foundations of an economically independent and developing nation.
