The 'Common' Development!

The 'Common' Development!

On an average, more than 40 farmers commit suicide every day in India, and yes today, when you read this, is no different. Around 15000 such lives are lost a year in a country where agriculture accounts for more than 50% of the total workforce. Their lives are so underrated that the government no longer publishes the correct data on farmer suicides anymore. Isn't it deplorable that none of us bother about this pernicious negligence concerning this hapless destitution who toil on the soil, day in and day out for you to eat three times a day? In fact, every time an Indian munches, you should know that the guy who nurtured it may not be even alive by then and by our convenient ignorance we are savoring the blood and sweat of an innocent. The richest 1% of this country owns 51.5% of the national wealth (Credit Suisse: Global Wealth Report 2018) and what is even more concerning is that this wealth inequality is only growing year by year. In short, the farmers will keep 'going up' apathetically and so be the profit margins of the foreign restaurant franchises indiscriminately in this largest democratic plutocracy. The irony. So before even the dream seeds of the poorer Indian actually see any light, the monetary camaraderie would call it a day for him. Let alone the tree first and then the fruits in his Utopia.

IDEA! A PRODUCT FOR LIFETIME - TAPMI

IDEA! A PRODUCT FOR LIFETIME - TAPMI

In my teenagers, I started using a mobile phone. With a mobile phone comes a SIM card and in those days there were leading companies like Airtel, Hutch, BSNL and IDEA!. At one end, BSNL had all the great plans for students, its services were not up to the mark, and I was searching for a network which was stable and with large customer base as that it directly related to quality of the product. One turns to his family for suggestions when one is inexperienced in a field and that is what I did. My sister was using IDEA! through a plan which was exclusive for her medical college and she had given another SIM card to my mother as the calling was free between the two. Looking at it, I chose to go with IDEA! and I don’t regret this decision till date.

The First Black Coat – Ambika Gautam – TAPMI

Like any aspiring, ambitious and star-y eyed child of 18, I too trotted along from one college campus to the other in the summer heat of Delhi in the year 2010. After much deliberation, “Law School it is”, I thought to myself, grinning from ear to ear. That was the first time I pictured myself in the future, wearing a black suit.

My Obstacles-TAPMI

My Obstacles-TAPMI

There are many challenges involved as we go through various stages of our lives, from childhood, to early teens, 19 to finally my age which is 23. So there were majorly 2 obstacles, which I was successful in overcoming. One was my stage fright. I was told by my mother that I spoke my first words when I was 4. Same as Albert Einstein. Wierd. Anyway, so I really have no idea how I developed this stage fright. Then at school, there was this club called Toastmasters. Seeing it as an opportunity to improve my speaking skills, I quickly started giving speeches at a consistent rate without being scared or forgetting my words, etc. Then the magic happened. I started to become more confident about myself and sooner than later, I overcame the stage fright.
