Challenge I Faced - TAPMI

Challenge I Faced - TAPMI

The toughest challenge I have faced  till date is being through last year i.e 2018 to 2019. I was totally disappointed seeing my CAT 2017 result because it was way below my expectation. Occupied with job responsibilities already, this took a huge toll on me in terms of stress. Usually, when things didn't go the way as I expected, it takes time for me to come out of that disappointment and start things fresh. So picking up myself together and put forward the right attitude to prepare for giving another try  is the most significant challenge  I have ever been through. . But It happened to be an eye opener to me and made me understand the importance of certain traits such as Patience, Continuous effort and eventual progress. It also rewarded me with some valuable life lessons. They are

A minor obstacle - TAPMI

A minor obstacle - TAPMI

Since as early as I can recall, I have been a silent person who interacted selectively with only certain people. I always believed in having a small circle of friends. In the past few years I had grown into an introvert, became pretty bad at socializing and was generally uncomfortable and left out in large groups of people. When I received the admission offer from TAPMI in April of 2019, I started thinking about my future as an MBA student. In doing this, I realized that this would be a prominent obstacle I would face during the next two years. An MBA program requires talking to all kinds of people, communicating, networking, making as many contacts & friends as possible. Being antisocial at a stage like this would be a huge disadvantage.

Challenges of a boy from rural India - TAPMI

Challenges of a boy from rural India - TAPMI

I am Harshit Rastogi. I was born in khargupur a place many would not have heard of. It is in Uttar Pradesh near Gonda. So when I started my schooling there wasn't any english medium school in my locality so had to take admission in a Hindi medium school. At the age of 10 I decided to join an English medium boarding school in Nainital, gave there admission test and somehow got selected. As I was from a Hindi medium school I wasn't good at understanding or even speaking English. Initially I used to stay quiet and didn't interacted with any teachers and because of that I failed in an English exam. After that I told my problem to my English teacher and told my desire to learn English to him. He asked me to sacrifice my game time of 2 hours to learn from him and I did (for a week only, now I think he wanted to test my desperation of learning).
