ABG: Follow My Lead - Ashit Agarwal, SIBM Pune

ABG: Follow My Lead - Ashit Agarwal, SIBM Pune

Monday Blues or Friday Dressings. Aditya Birla Group has been part of my life in both extremes. I still remember waking up every Monday morning and watching my mother pack my Monday lunch (we had a pact and the menu was fixed) neatly in Freshwrapp and then heading off to school and then waiting for that lunch bell to go off. That was the beginning of my journey with ABG. Up until the 6th or 7th standard, I didn’t know the meaning of the words, foil paper. The word Freshwrapp is what I associated with right from my childhood. The connect was strong and the brand was ingrained at that ripe age itself.

“Be the leader who inspires”

“Be the leader who inspires”

I have always been of the opinion that to be successful in life one might not necessarily need talent but one can definitely work on his/her skills to make oneself so perfect at it by regularly working on one self’s weaknesses and enhancing one self’s strengths.

B-school to Big 4

Indian B-schools are knows for their exposure and secular and dynamic crowds where a student is nurtured and trained for the future. One such institution is NMIMS Bangalore. In NMIMS Bangalore, their focus os not only academics but also the overall development of the student. They want their students to not just be good followers but great leaders.

Opportunities don't happen, We create them -Ayushi Tyagi, NMIMS Mumbai

My grandparents, parents and sibling have been an inspiration for me my entire life. They have always inspired me to dream big and I have always felt an urge to make them proud and be a step closer to achieving all my dreams. Getting to be a part of a great institution felt like a stepping stone to this as I wanted to be closer to the bright minds of the country and exposed to the huge gamut of knowledge.  With this started my journey of preparation for competitive exams of engineering for entry to these colleges. I wanted to be an alumnus of the prestigious institutes of the country like IIT’s and NIT’s. I put in a lot of hard work and yet due to the enormous talent and competition in the country I was unable to secure a seat at one of the college of my choice in that particular year. It was very evident from the results that I had two options, either to give up on my dream or drop and wait back for another year to accomplish the same task. I decided to open up the third option for myself, I decided that in order to achieve my dream all I needed was a little diversion along the way. I decided to diverge and enroll for a bachelors program in chemistry instead at one of the well known institution and start all over again. Towards the end of my bachelors, I started with my journey to crack the competitive exam for entry to IIT for a master’s course.  This time I was much better prepared to handle the pressure and competition. It took one year of extreme hard work and dedication and there I was in 2015 with an offer letter in my hand for admission to IIT Gandhinagar. After all this time I realized all it took was a little patience and dedication to be where I wanted to be all along.

A 'Suit-Boot' soul wayfaring off the beach!

A 'Suit-Boot' soul wayfaring off the beach!

The burning flames rising high to extend its reach towards azure sky awaited in front of me. The street which paved the way towards Goa city from one of the outskirt villages of the beach town happened to be caught with one of these wildfires. The time had come to still, and it allowed me some slack hours to do some thinking amid the deadline run-overs and the scheduled meetings. Yes, it was one of those days when I was out making the sales pitch to a rural school in Goa during my summer internship of the MBA program.
