Being an introvert, I always shied away from meeting new people and taking up new responsibilities. While I was in 3rd year of my engineering, my friend being the sponsorship head of our college’s annual cultural fest convinced me to help him organize the fest. Reluctantly, I joined him and started to work hard and understand things that were completely new to me. Going forward, two months before the fest, I was made the marketing head and found myself in a difficult situation trying to lead different teams. This is what I believe was the biggest challenge for me as I had to address these teams from the stage, and I would shiver sometimes while addressing the audience. It was a nightmare for me and the fact of doing it again the next day would haunt me in the night. And, then to prove myself and live up to the responsibility I was given, I began to practice in the room in front of the mirror and started believing in myself. Slowly, I shredded the stage fear and at a time, was addressing the whole crowd present in the fest, on one of the biggest podiums that one could get in the college. This instilled a great amount of confidence in me and proved to be a huge moral victory for me. Eventually, I joined a sales job and ended up performing extremely well in a role where I was continuously interacting with different people across the country.Aditya Birla Group, with its various products instills this confidence and trust in their customers.
