Education through experience is truly today’s guru mantra! And here, at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune (SIBM Pune), we have it imbibed in us. The students of the institute have been taking up internships since time immemorial! The internship lasts approximately two months and this gives the students hands-on industry experience translating classroom learning into practice.
One of the questions I hear every now and then is 'Why TISS?'. Since the answer, 'Because it's awesome' won't suffice, I decided to shed some light on Fieldwork, one of the unique aspects of the Human Resource Management and Labour Relations course at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
On 22 August 2016, SPJIMR announced that it has expanded corporate partnerships for its Autumns Placements process with 29 new companies coming on board for campus placements this year. SPJIMR said that 35 per cent of the offers for the 2016 season were made by these new companies, signifying a never-before increase and diversification in the portfolio of recruiters.
Anna Hazare became highly relevant because he was a crusader for anti-corruption. Unfortunately under the previous government talking about corruption was a method for attacking the previous government and gaining popularity and prominence amongst the public. It fed off the anger of the people. People were at the end of their tether and in total despair when it came to corruption. But when Arvind Kejriwal and Anna Hazare broke up and Kejriwal formed the Aam Aadmi Party, Hazare had already begun to lose relevance. Because it was clear that both of them had dis-owned each other. Anna has over the last few years therefore done a slow fade and left the public's memory.
