MBA - Specify, Simplify, Satisfy repeat

MBA – A degree which can be interpreted in a thousand ways with all being correct at the same time. While some say that MBA is knowledge, experience, and money, some might go on and say that MBA is an internationally-recognized degree designed to develop the skills required for careers in business and management. Though most of us fall into the former category, the true meaning of MBA is unfathomable. Through my past year experience as an MBA student at FMS, I have tried to decode it.

Re-engineer yourself brick by brick

Re-engineer yourself brick by brick

My 1 year journey (PGPX @IIMA) has just come to an end and eyes turn misty as I brace myself to hand over the keys of MSH 901 to the facilities office and just move on with life. So what has been the NPV and IRR of this journey, asks the Chartered Accountant in me who had hirtherto been an EV/EBITDA and Free Cash Flow to Equity cruncher to the house of Tatas and Birlas

Nothingness redefined!!

Nothingness redefined!!

Sometimes I honestly contemplate upon the idea of becoming a writer!  Every next tom, dick and harry from an IIM, pens a book these days. You know, it has become the new 'it' thing, well, old 'it' thing for an IIM grad. When nothing goes my way, I at least write a book and bask in the glory! Please! Give me a break!

India's Innovation Injunction

India's Innovation Injunction

Any study of natural process acknowledges that genes, atoms, talent have random distribution around a huge space like our planet Earth. This inherently implies that any geography will have more or less same number of artist, doctors and lawyers. It would be funny to imagine Australia as a place where only sportsmen are born and Germany a place where only Mechanical engineers are born.  Following that logic innovators are present everywhere in the world including India. With huge population size we must rank in top 5 in terms of innovations. But what saddens me is the recent global competitiveness report which ranks India as number 48 in terms of innovation below all the BRICS countries inspite of registering a double digit growth rate.

I Dared to Do and so Did I...

I Dared to Do and so Did I...

Where we are we know not, where we shall be, we know not, what we do know is what we aren't and that drives you to idealize what you could be. In a world of craze, rat race and pressure, I stood as another minnow, shadowed and stamped by giants that strode. Yet within the little being, lived a dream that knew not of pragmatism, I set to work to see my dream come true.
