NIRF MBA Rankings 2021 - Strange Or Accurate?

NIRF MBA Rankings 2021 - Strange Or Accurate?

The NIRF MBA Rankings of 2021 have been released by the MHRD! In 2021, to no one's surprise, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Calcutta have taken the top spots to emerge as India's leading business schools. However, certain peculiarities in the rankings raise a question about the reliability of the NIRF MBA rankings. For instance, the IITs have pipped institutes such as SPJIMR, NITIE and MDI Gurgaon to feature amongst India's top ten business schools. Institutes such as IIFT Delhi feature below Great Lakes. Within the 'Perception' parameter, a new IIM has ranked well above the likes of IIM Indore, XLRI and SPJIMR, while MDI Gurgaon has been ranked below IIM Nagpur, and NITIE Mumbai has been ranked below Chandigarh University. In 2020, 56 percent of the InsideIIM MBA community rejected the NIRF MBA Rankings. How accurate are the latest NIRF 2021 MBA Rankings? Here are all the key highlights.

So how to approach these types of questions with accuracy and score well in the examination?

Following my dream to pursue my engineering from IIT since 2011 when I was in class 10th, I landed in NIT Agartala after scoring unsatisfactory in JEE 2014. I joined L&T Construction in the Supply Chain Department after graduation. While working under this profile, I realized the need to develop managerial skills for career growth in the corporate world. Therefore, I decided to appear for CAT to get into B-schools.

Let's be real. The Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) section of CAT, XAT and other MBA entrance exams can be really tricky. More so if English is not your strongest suit (Read: me). When I started my preparation, I kept staring at RC passages to try and make sense of what was being said. So if the VARC section is what scares you, fret not! With proper preparation strategy and hard work, you can tame the beast. Let me tell you how to go about it (or rather how I went about it).
