Before joining IIFT, I worked for 2.5 years at an Indian MNC. While working, I realized that it was the right time to delve into the world of management, and thus I decided to steer my career towards a new direction. I appeared for several management entrance examinations. After clearing IIFT’s entrance exam in which I scored 98.4 percentile, I got a call for the GD-PI-WAT rounds, the experience of which I would like to share hoping that it would benefit the readers.

In 2020, the Fortune magazine published its well-known Fortune 500 rankings of companies, which is essentially "the ultimate business scorecard" of the top five hundred largest American businesses based on their total revenues for their respective fiscal years. The 2020 rankings, which were the 66th edition of the Fortune 500 rankings, showed an interesting observation: the number of women running America's top corporations hit a record-high. Yet, the big picture is less than encouraging, since only 8.0% of the 500 CEOs on Fortune's list were women, which itself was an improvement over the 7.2% figure in 2019.
