Hardik Vijay faced tough competition when he first wrote CAT in 2018. He scored a 98%ile but felt he could do better. This is when this Civil Engineer from IIT Kanpur decided to re-attempt the CAT. Hark back to 2019, Hardik scored a whopping 99.96%ile in CAT 2019. And all this while working at Citibank full time! Hardik tells us how he came back home from work and pushed himself to practice mocks and sectionals up to 1-2 AM at night. Evidently, the only started preparing earnestly starting September-October. His most rigorous and fruitful prep happened just before CAT in the month of November. In fact, even the day before CAT, Hardik was busy brushing up VA-RC & Quant. Shirin Nizar is a mechanical engineer, born and bred in the city of the 3C's Thalassery, Kerala. He did his 14 years of schooling and scored 9.6 in his X and 82.6% in XII. He also completed his 4 years of bachelor's from Thalassery with a CGPA of 7.41. A 2019 pass out, he didn't take up any job offers as he wanted to give his everything towards CAT because he knew this would be a life-changer for him. Since he realized that the potential would be massive, the experience and exposure from a top b-school would be immense, and so he gave a good 4 months to CAT and finally got 99.45%ile and calls from all the IIMs except B.
