Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life
Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life
“Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life?” When one speaks of the Aditya Birla Group, two verticals that spring to my mind which have become ubiquitous in my life are Vodafone Idea and Aditya Birla Capital. A conglomerate of this size is sure to have a great diversity of verticals. The ones mentioned above impact me individually daily.
I am sure we all have faced situations which made us think that this is too tough to hold on, too tough to keep going and when we had to choose between alternatives that put us in a difficult position. But these are exactly the very moments that brings out the best in us.
In the world where every product and brand is trying to grab your attention, there are some which stands apart and mesmerize you with their utility and value creation. One such brand is Aditya Birla Group. It is said that on average a person in India comes across 450 brands daily in one way or another. Without doubt, Aditya Birla Group (ABG) tops this list. From the cement in your wall to shirts and aluminium in your car, ABG is one such group without which our life may not be same as we know it.
As a young kid who wished to look dapper every time I go out, fashion and retail was everything to me. I can distinctly remember my first visit to an ‘Allen Solly’ store. That could have been the weirdest version of me till date I would say, at any place. I guess my eyes popped out drooling over the ‘bestest’ of collections and I can proudly say that ‘Allen Solly’ was my first ever branded shirt. It was just the beginning. The day before joining college, I was in a Pantaloon store getting my wardrobe ready and you can imagine how much of it has been a part and parcel of my life.
Why Aditya Birla Group Is Big in My Life?
My life has been different from others since the very beginning it had been defined by my father’s job in Merchant Navy he used to stay overseas for extended periods of times and communication was extremely difficult, only when he was on ports and then to we could have only limited conversation because of the high prices charged, we used to communicate through letters and the brief scarce phone calls. Communication had such huge barriers. However since my mother changed her number to idea (now Vodafone idea Ltd.) we have been able to communicate very easily and for extended periods. Our lives have changed so drastically, now we feel that my father is just one phone call away, ABG has literally helped bring families closer. My father due to his absence for 6-8 months a year trusted the Aditya Birla Capital limited to invest money, he trusted them with all investments made through the portfolio management services provided by them. He knew our money would be handled with utmost care and caution keeping in mind our well-being. My father trusted Aditya Birla Group since the very beginning having utmost faith in the services they provide knowing that we were in good hands. This also enabled my father to invest in Aditya Birla Sun Life mutual fund after much research and deliberation. Since the very beginning my father has been very interest in finance and learnt a lot on his own reading researching, I have seen him take sound and calculated decisions in finance. This early introduction to taking smart, far sighted, calculated and well researched decisions by my father had me interested in finance. I knew I wanted to do an MBA very clearly while doing my graduation in economics. I prepared for CAT and in my first attempt I did not perform very well, it being a drop year that I took specifically for preparation due to being in a bad place and not proper planning I could not perform well, I got into mediocre colleges however I wished to study in one of the top 10 colleges of the country. I took a leap and decided to give CAT once again, this time I decided to take smart decisions and enrolled in a finance course with University of London International Programs while preparing once again this time with a completely different positive mind set. After preparing again, this time I did way better than before and prepared really well, I was finally able to get into MDI Gurgaon. I was thus faced with an impasse after my first attempt and could have given up and settled yet I decided to take the more difficult and a path with ups and down yet I was focused and decided to thread through the harder path. This year of hard work taught me a lot, I believe this year of difficulty taught me to not give up and approach life optimistically in a positive way, as I believe you are who you think you are . As rightly said by Henry Ford If you think you can do it or think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.
