However, it is in such times that, if we step up, everything is achievable. Here is a story of someone, who against all odds, cleared one of the toughest exams and got a seat in one of India’s best B-schools – the Indian School of Business.
Apurva Sharma took part in the Common Admission Process (CAP) for her admission to the first and second generation IIMs. The GD and interview rounds are crucial for selection of candidates to IIMs through CAP. Not only does it require them to remain focused throughout the tiring process during the day, but it also requires them to be ready with answers related to their profile.
It was the summer of 2017, when I set on the path of becoming a business leader by getting an admit to SIBM Pune, right after completing my graduation. I was really passionate about curating and writing content, but destiny had other plans in mind. Joining a top tier B-School surfaced plethora of opportunities and opened new avenues to explore, but time was limited and I wanted to do a lot. I was faced with a big dilemma, or say a business challenge about where to put my means to have the maximum return on investment. Now, talking about the options at hand, my YouTube channel by the name, ‘Bibhav Singh’ had surpassed a thousand subscribers, on the other hand, academic and guest lectures were taking a toll on the diurnal cycle, and lastly my mailbox was flooded with corporate competitions.

NITIE is considered to be the Mecca for engineers who want to pursue an MBA in industrial engineering or supply chain. Not only do you need to score well in CAT, but you also have to be able to present yourself as an impressive candidate during the interview session. You should also be prepared for technical questions and so it is important to know the subjects you have studied and also a little about the subjects you are looking to pursue during your MBA.
