Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less travelled by, And that has made all the difference.
In continuation of my article on Cracking IIM interviews, this article aims to give you an edge over the 20 thousand odd candidates who will be writing WAT alongside you. Although heavily overlooked, WAT is a place where you can showcase your skill of being voluminous in few words and an opportunity where you can show a balanced outlook of your views. Also, having gone through an undergraduate course and possibly work experience, most of us forget the art of writing with pen and paper – Good handwriting is an unsaid necessity.
26th July, 2017. A date I am least likely to ever forget. I have travelled far and wide, met several scores of people in my lifetime, yet I was giddying with excitement about the prospects of a new place, new people and new life. Between sparse google pictures and horror stories painted by seniors, I was at my wits’ end as to what to expect from an institute of such stature. All of it paled in comparison when I stood in front of the gates which read Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode; fully aware of the year-long hard work, discipline and sacrifice that went in to reach here!
It was late October, the frenzy was the setup and everyone was decked up. Started with bewilderment with a great chunk to turn up and ended on a lovely note with lots of memories and peaceful bang up.

Yet another year is on the verge of disappearing and we’re almost all set to welcome the new year 2018 with explosion and bash. While I set the plot for my further discussion, I must affirm that 2017 marked manifold stories unfolding, transforming and ultimately fading. Few of such stories belong to the corporate world which observed several papers put down by their leaders – some expectedly and some unexpectedly.
