Anish is a 2017 engineering pass out (University of Delhi), of NSIT. He has 3 publications two of which are in the field of marketing and the other in intelligent control systems. He has also interned with PwC and with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. He is a marketing enthusiast and is the National Finalist for Carpe Diem by HUL and PPSI holder
One of the things many b-school professors say, including one who incidentally now teaches at IIM K, is that it's the educated that really needs to be educated. We can defend the right to freedom of speech of film-makers and artists to death. But the moment we are confronted with the same question on our own choices, we lose all objectivity.
With a lot of anticipation about how MBA life is going to be, I entered the gates of the SIBM Pune campus on the beautiful Lavale hilltop. Having spoken to many alums/seniors studying in college, I had a few ideas in mind about how the course is going to be, but it was the induction process that gave the much-needed insight of what to expect(and what not to) in the months to come.
Hush! Finally, it's over! I wouldn't want to be in that phase of my life again (though, I might need to go face it once more). I am not talking about exams or even a break-up. I am talking about the main reason for which a person joins a good b-school: Placements (In my case, Summers!)
Sangram 2017; the annual sports meet between the south IIMs (IIM Bangalore, Kozhikode, Trichy and Vizag) ended on Sunday. It was hosted by IIM Kozhikode who were eventually crowned the champions. This seems like an arbitrary article up until here. But there is more to it than what meets the eye. Although the trophy was presented to IIM K at the end of the tournament, it would have been in everybody’s interest to award them the trophy at the start and then play the tournament!
