A diverse personality, Gouri has done her engineering, worked with the Tata Group, and then joined IIM Calcutta for an MBA. Having worked with the Tata Group before, it was always her first choice to get into the world of the Tatas again, but this time as a manager. And so she did. Having spent a good number of months (if not years) working towards getting admission to a top institute, students expect a certain remuneration to start-off their management careers with. Since placement reports usually provide limited salary data, we made use of the extensive InsideIIM Recruitment Survey to dive deeper into the kind of salaries that students realistically expect in their first post-MBA jobs.
Very few agree or even acknowledge the fact that money is the driving force behind today’s world. From the days of individual barters to multi-billion dollar deals, money has metamorphosed into something gigantic. Yet, it is no bigger than the reason for its existence, the need for money itself. The aspiration of earning more money has time and again been seen as a taboo and a sign of greed. And yet, every product you buy, every need is connected by that one word; money and hence, it is irreplaceable.
