Before joining IIM Rohtak, the biggest fear in my mind wasn’t about placements, academics or leaving the comforts of home. I was only worried about whether I’ll get time to pursue my passion of travelling and photography, knowing the fact that MBA was going to be an extremely hectic course and that b-schools have a reputation for being passion-killers.
I write today about a very interesting experience I have had the pleasure of living a few months ago. It led to moments of surprise, joy, excitement as well as confusion and frustration.

Procter & Gamble (P&G) wishes to raise awareness about ocean plastic & what can be done to prevent plastic waste from reaching the ocean.
Starbucks is noticing that sales of frappuccino is slowing down. It plans to push – nitrogen-infused coffee to partly make up for the missing income!
Yes, you guessed it right, ‘Patel’ this surname does belong to a typical gujju boy whose life events are very much aligned with Iron Man of India - Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, (born at the same place as him - Vallabh Vidyanagar & my B. Tech alma matter was Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat). In the spirit of full disclosure, here is my short CV.
I had the oppurtunity to intern with Robert Bosch India Limited this summer at their Bengaluru Plant. Being a fresher and a HR aficionado, the learnings and experience that I got from Robert Bosch India Limited was an enabler for myself. Interning with a firm like Robert Bosch India Limited was a dream come true moment for me.
To draw an analogy I would say that the first month at TISS has laid the foundation for the two-year journey here. The one month here has been full of chaos, from attending guest lectures, plant visits to numerous assignments and I can draw a parallel with my engineering days. But the rate at which circumstances/situations change here is inversely proportional to the reaction time for it. And I would say that this is something which prepares me competently for the subsequent challenges.
