Design Thinking Lectures At IIM Indore - Colours And Creativity In Management

Design Thinking Lectures At IIM Indore - Colours And Creativity In Management

We rushed to the 8.45 am lecture like any other day, with breakfast in one hand and books in the other. Something felt different about that day – 5 back-to-back lectures of the same subject in a day – no one had a clue what was happening. We entered our classroom and took our seats. That morning, even our usual classroom had a different aura, as if it was preparing us for the fun-filled day that lay ahead.

In A World Full Of Successes, Celebrate Your failures - Rohit Arun Agrawal - MBF

This would be the most appropriate one-liner for my internship. For a fresher and a finance aficionado that I was, SREI Equipment Finance Limited was the enabler to an experience that I would definitely want to harbour in the future. From all that I could have known, a treasury department was to do with allocation & mobilization of resources.

An Experience To Remember - Ernst & Young - Shougat Anurag - XUMG

16 June 2017 – The excitement, as well as the anxiety, was sky high when I first stepped into the Xavier University Bhubaneswar Campus, the curiosity of knowing the MBA life, the fear of matching the expectations all these played their part and made the initial days a bit tougher. With butterflies in my stomach, I slowly started my MBA journey, the start was slow but eventually, I could match the pace, which reminds me of Usain Bolt,“No matter how far you get ahead of me, I’m gonna catch you. That’s my mentality that I go there with.” Good things started happening & the best thing that happened in the first year was the summer internship where I got an opportunity to work as an intern with Ernst & Young.

PROLOGUE (THE FLASHBACK) - Being a doctor by profession and being the only doctor in an MBA batch of 300 comes with its own set of perks and challenges. And that’s why I think I was especially excited when Philips Healthcare came to our campus for its pre-placement talk. I had consistently worked with Philips machines in the past and I believe that your conviction in selling or marketing a product increases multifold if you yourself have faith in the product. I was shortlisted for the GD round and after clearing it, moved on to the interview which was both detailed and insightful. Having been in the shoes of the client before, helped me draw inferences and insights into what factors carry most weightage when marketing to different segments of clients. When the result came of my selection, I was overjoyed and on receiving the Pre-Placement Offer from Philips after the summer internship completion, my happiness has come a full circle.

Banking 2.0 - Internship At Royal Bank Of Scotland - Tharun Jacob, IIM Trichy

I have had a three-year stint in retail banking in a scheduled commercial bank but corporate banking and operations were all new to me and it is with slight trepidation that I entered the towering awe-inducing twelve storeyed building of Royal Bank of Scotland in Chennai. It was a mixed bag of excitement and nervousness on the first day but it helped to have a classmate joining the internship along with me who incidentally happens to be an ex-RBS employee and had great things to say about the organization. The proceedings began with a formal on boarding session through a video conference with all the interns across the offices in India and senior leader’s brief about the RBS way of internship, the work culture etc.
