Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies, widely known as KIAMS, has achieved 43rd position out of 4200 + business schools in India in the prestigious BusinessWorld rankings. The survey carried out by C fore in association with BusinessWorld listed IIMA, IIMB, IIMC and IIML as the Top 4 B-schools of the country. The survey was released on the 14th of December 2015 in the BW ‘B-School Education Special’. Bearing the title “The future of education and its leading tycoons”, the survey marked the return of many well-established B-schools back amongst the ‘A-listers’.

Students of SCMS Cochin recently had the privilege of listening to and gaining from the experiences of Mr. Harikrishnan Nair, Chairman of CII’s Kerala State Council and President, Western India Cashew Co. The seasoned professional is also the man behind the brand of snack foods, Wenders, which is the first branded snack from India to be retailed in supermarkets across Europe and the US. As he talked about the development of his brand and offered insight into the industry, he focused on the all important concept of “Change”.
Management Development Institute, Murshidabad held a Book Exhibition with international publishers like Oxford, Wiley, Cengage, Viva, Sage and others, on 10th and 11th December 2015 in their campus at Murshidabad. This time most of the publishers and distributors focused on books from trend in management, data analytics, SAS, SPSS, Marketing, consumer behavior and psychology, Human Resource management and various other popular series on topical interest.
The Marketing Forum of PGDM students in association with Indian Oil Corporation organized a seminar on the highly relevant topic of “M-Commerce – It’s Trending”. The nature of business is changing with an increasing number of consumers buying products through mobile apps. The seminar held on the 7th of December shed light on many of the interesting facets of M-commerce. The presence of leading names from the industry added to the attraction of the seminar that further led to interesting discussions and had important takeaways for students.
