IIM Udaipur’s students singularise themselves from other B-School students by meliorating upon the unique vision of our Director, Dr. Janat Shah for the institute. Immersion programs integrating both global and rural peculiarities being one of the formative pillars of IIM Udaipur along with entrepreneurship, social responsibility and transformation, saw a prime addition in the institute’s hall of fame. A group of 18 students from College of Alice and Peter Tan, National University of Singapore (NUS) visited Udaipur as part of their study tour in India to enrich and enhance their knowledge about citizenship and community engagement. The students’ contingent secerned a host of faculties like Political Science, Pharmacy, Engineering, Bio-Technology, Architecture etc.
Students of IIM Ranchi cheered in blue and white as RPG blizzard hit the institute. RPG Blizzard- ‘Campus Experts’ is a unique case study challenge held across top B-schools of India. Each year, it beckons young minds of the country to tackle business challenges, thus engaging them in a productive brainstorming session.
India's champion wrestler, olympic bronze medalist, Yogeshwar Dutt visited IIM Ranchi hostel after his final bout at ‘All India Police Wrestling Championship’ and engaged in a lively interactive session with the students of the institute. Students bubbling with excitement, swarmed around him as he welcomed their questions while his coach, Anup Dahiya, complemented his answers. Yogeshwar’s humility was evident from his words. When asked about his inspiration, he humbly replied, “Any hardworking, determined person can become my inspiration. If you work hard, you can inspire me”. His coach shared anecdotes elaborating Yogeshwar’s dedication towards the sport and reinforced the philosophy of ‘No shortcuts to success’. “The feeling of success cannot be expressed in words!”, exclaimed Yogeshwar as he recalled his moment of victory at the 2012 Summer Olympics.When asked about his fitness mantra, Yogeshwar’s answer was simple, “Don’t drink. Don’t Smoke. Eat healthy”. He encouraged students to work towards their goals while keeping in mind that there are no substitutes for hard work and discipline. On his visit to the institute, he also promoted TEDx IIM Ranchi- A set of conferences designed to stimulate constructive dialogue between communities, organizations and individuals. The event is hosted in the spirit of ‘ideas worth spreading’-a mission which Yogeshwar believes in.
Indian Institute of Management Udaipur successfully organized the first edition of the “IIM- Udaipur Analytics Excursus” on 5th December 2013 at the institute. Focusing on the importance of extensive data getting generated every day and to take the useful insight from it which can be used for decision making, the theme for the discussion was “Big Data- Big Advantage”
Indian Institute of Management Udaipur witnessed one proud moment in the history of the Institute when Prateek Shukla, a PGP-2 student scored 670 out of 800 in the Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT), October 2013. It is a two hour exam which can be taken at any time as per ones convenience. The exam consisted of 100 multiple choice questions and is tailored with a focus on analytical reasoning. Prateek has been ranked amongst the top 5 scorers (Hall of Fame) in the Asia-Pacific region. He is one of the core members of Finomina - The Finance Club of IIMU and one of the toppers of the batch with an inclination towards Operations and Finance. Anusha Ganne, S. Prashant and Rahul Agrawal also from PGP-2 scored above 99 percentile in the examination.
