The students of the Vinod Gupta School of Management had the privilege of attending an inspiring guest lecture by Mr Ankur Chaturvedi, Senior General Manager (Operations and Safety) of Emami Ltd. on the 17th of January, 2019. Having pioneered strategies and excelling in Supply Chain and Operations for over two decades, he brought with him a rich bouquet of experience and delivered golden life mantras through his effortless way of story-telling.
International Management Institute Kolkata (IMI Kolkata), an initiative of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, has seen 100 per cent placement of its students for the academic year 2018-19. IMI Kolkata has concluded its final placements for the class of 2019 with more than 32 recruiters participating in the campus recruitment process, making offers to the 110 candidates who had opted for final placements in the seventh batch.
The Spring Session at the Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur couldn't have started in any better way than getting a chance to interact with Dr Duvvuri Subbarao, the 22nd Governor of The Reserve Bank of India, a name that needs no introduction. An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, his visit reminded him of his days in the campus during the times when telephones had long cables and a mouse was something nasty to be found in the kitchen.
SAMATVA, the ISR cell of SCMHRD, has been conducting E.A.R.N – Enable All to Revive and Nurture for the last four years. The earlier model of E.A.R.N involved earning money from external sources which was donated to NGOs working for rehabilitation of human trafficking victims. All first-year MBA students worked in stores across Pune for three days in the E.A.R.N drive conducted in previous years. The work comprised of utilizing their quantitative, analytical and managerial skills and assisting the store-owners in enhancing their business by marketing it on social media, engaging the customers and getting their feedback. At the same time, they spread awareness about human trafficking among the customers. Every year, E.A.R.N managed to come out with flying colours and attain its motive.
It is not every day you get to witness the top B-Schools, training the future managers of our nation engaging in an ultimate faceoff to see who will emerge victorious. Well, Sangharsh is one occasion that does the same for you. A much-awaited event, it is a platform wherein the top 4 IIMs: IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, and IIM Lucknow showcase their passion for sports and prove their mettle. What started with a sports competition between Ahmedabad and Bangalore soon paved the way for Calcutta and consequently Lucknow to join in and gear up for the roller-coaster of a ride.
The brainchild of the Father of the White Revolution, late Dr. Verghese Kurien, IRMA is a part of a legacy of 40 years and counting.
