On 11th October 2017, the Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur had the privilege of hosting Mr. Ravi Kant, former Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Tata Motors for a guest lecture.  Mr. Ravi Kant is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and is soon to join his alma mater as a distinguished professor. Post the completion of his B. Tech, he went on to pursue his Masters and Honorary DSc, from Aston University. He has an illustrious career graph at Tata where he acted as the chairman and director for several group companies.

Smriti Mandhana Flags Off NITIE’s Annual Fest “Avartan” With “Josh”

NITIE kicks off its annual fest “Avartan 2017” with a bang with Ms Smriti Mandhana of Indian Women’s Cricket Team inaugurating the event. Smriti is known not only for her cricketing prowess but also for her compassionate behaviour. The left-handed bats-women played a very important role in helping India reach the finals in the recently held Women’s World Cup. Though India narrowly missed the title but definitely won the hearts of billions of people. In a short address to NITIE, Smriti mentioned that she became fascinated by the lush and green campus of NITIE and inspired the students to take up sports as well as to be fit. Such words of wisdom made the campus roar with excitement and inspiration. NITIE was proud to host such a legendary sportsperson.
