First of all, let me assure you 4 months is a sufficient time frame to crack CAT and I say this from personal experience.
HRM and LR at TISS, is a flagship course for students who wish to pursue their careers in the HR domain. The course is not only known for its pedagogy and notable alumni but also the unique way of collaborating fieldwork with course work which helps to nullify the difference in between the theory and its industrial application by emphasising on practical learning. It is considered as one of the top most colleges in India to pursue Human resources. The placements are just a byproduct of the exposure and learning inculcated in the tenure of two years.
Finance is a pretty broad field of study - ranging from financial accounting and reporting to the study of various financial markets, stock markets, valuations, trading etc. And so is Economics - with the 2 major sub-topics being Macro- and Micro-Economics. But both of them are essential for anyone serious about pursuing a career in the lucrative Investment Banking industry.
