Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) conducts one exam TISSNET (TISS National Entrance Test) for about 55 of their Programs for MA. Some of them in Social Health may only have a descriptive paper whereas for the coveted MA (HRM & LR) which is considered equivalent to an MBA in HR, the TISSNET exam consists of English, Analytical & Logical Reasoning along with General Knowledge & Knowledge on Contemporary Issues.
With just 2 days remaining for XAT 2017 I would like to share some of the tactics which I used. Start from your strongest section. If you think you are good at the quantitative ability section, then start with it and try to solve maximum questions in an hour. The questions in the Quantitative section might be moderately tough as they are conceptual in nature. Do not panic if you see a tough question. Carry on with other questions rather than wasting time on a particular question if you are not able to solve it.

Life was full of travelling, as I moved across different parts of the country. But then a moment came when I realised that I should perhaps start working towards my dream of securing a Master’s degree in Business and I wasn't getting any younger either. These two correlated factors pushed me to enrol in a coaching class and I started preparing for MBA entrance exams amidst a very pacy schedule (travelling 15 days in a month). Back in the office, I was a hardcore manufacturing guy, typically whose first half would pass on screaming and yelling at people and getting the job done. Nevertheless, and needless to say, I loved my job because each day it posed new challenges in front of me.
Nihal, BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, is a first-year student, currently pursuing his PGDM at FMS Delhi. Nihal scored 99.97 percentile in XAT 2016 and will be interning with Citibank in the Summer of 2017.
