It was the evening of 5th March 2016, when I received an email from ISB- the subject of the mail was “Your EEO Application Result”. After 5 minutes of anxiety following an increase in my heartbeat rate, I gathered the courage to open the mail and I was in! I couldn’t have been happier. I had prepared myself to be good enough for the Indian School of Business for 3 long years and finally the offer letter was in my hand. Celebrations were followed by an existential crisis since I’d have to join class only in 2017, which means I had exactly one year to go before I join the school. I had already decided that if I get an admit through EEO (Early Entry Option), I would use the one year (prior to joining) to the utmost of my capability. And what could have been better than using it to help others get an admit?

XLRI has revealed the XAT 2017 pattern today. The new pattern is in line with what was expected but a few changes were made. Below is the XAT 2017 pattern and 2016 pattern to compare the changes –
"Needless to say, WAT is the first test of time management faced by any MBA graduate. Hence, it requires sustained effort for continual improvement in writing style and speed. The topics are so chosen that it makes you to apply your brain and come out with one’s insights in a meaningful manner.
Gaurav is pursuing his MBA in Marketing from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar(XIMB) and is currently in 1st year. He is a knowledge seeker and keeps himself updated about happenings in the entrepreneurial world. He likes to address queries of MBA aspirants and help them in their MBA preparations.
