CAT attempts were getting tougher and tougher for me, once I started with my professional career as one gets to spend very less time to prepare and competition increases each year. Weekends were the only time when I really used to prepare and if at all sometime during the weekday (though it was very rare) .The quant section as it is presumed to be engineer’s kingdom was definitely a challenging one for me. So, my preparation strategy was kind of skewed to quant more but definitely not completely neglecting the verbal and LR DI section because I have had times during my mocks when I scored poorly in my strong area i.e. verbal. So, I made it a point to give all sections its due attention. Leave aside everything, yes! The feeling is exceptional when you bell the CAT and for me the feeling was a level higher because it came when it was least expected. Patience pays off – the first lesson learnt !

Deciding to color my hair blue may not have any far reaching consequences other than inviting the wrath of my parents, but many other choices we make, do. And one among the many that do, is deciding to do an MBA. There can be 100 different reasons as to why one would decide to pursue MBA. You may wish to take your career to new heights, achieve financial stability or become an entrepreneur. You may want to give your eager parents a good enough reason to postpone marriage or you might simply it because your beloved is joining MBA and, of course, how can you be left behind. The Many Roads To An MBA - Life At IIM Nagpur For A Commerce Graduate

Living 2 years of my life at an IIM is what I had always dreamt of, and this wish converted into a reality when I received the conversion email from Indian Institute of Management, Nagpur. It has been 2 months since I have been at this place but I can assure you that being a non-engineering student at any b-school is a different experience altogether. If you are from commerce background, you have basic knowledge about almost all the subjects taught at a b-school. This helps you in grasping the subject better. When the professor would utter words like “working capital” and “contribution” you will just look around, observe the bewildered faces of your classmates, and sit back peacefully.
