From A Chemical Engineer To An MBA Student - Sowmya Ramakrishnan, IFMR GSB Krea University

I did my B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal and passed out in May, 2017. I had decided to pursue my MBA after my B.Tech but I did not write the entrance exams in 2016-17 as I wanted to prepare well and I felt I would not have the time at the campus to put in the necessary effort. Also, based on inputs from seniors and friends I felt it was necessary to attend a good coaching center for my MBA preparation and there were no options in Manipal. I, therefore, decided to write the MBA competitive exams in 2017-18 to start my MBA in June 2018.

In 2017, I filled out the applications of various top business schools in India like thousands of other candidates before appearing for various entrance exams. This is when my first contact with SPJIMR took place. Unlike other business schools, SPJIMR wanted to capture the entirety of me in that form.
