Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) conducted the Admission Test 2018-2020 for admission into its two-year program in International Business, on Sunday, December 03, 2017. The test was conducted across various centres in the country between 10 am and 12 pm. Differential marking continued to be there and the penalty for an incorrect answer was 1/3rd of the total mark assigned.

Let’s get this straight, CAT 2017 is done and dusted but your MBA journey has just begun. CAT is one of the few phases in this journey; once the scores are out, CAT would serve only as a qualifier to the next round. In the b-school selection process, nobody would ask you about Quant questions or Para jumbles, the selection process is all about ‘YOU’. Yes, it is about what kind of person you are, do you fit in for the program or not. So, use the next 60 days to discover yourself and present the best version to the interviewer.
It’s a matter of hardly a month by when all the major b-school entrance exams will be over and the candidates will anxiously await their results. Once the results are out, the alarm bells for getting their act right in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds will start ringing for many. And just like one’s morning alarm tone, the tone of the GD/PI rounds is also not mellifluous to anyone’s ears.
Meet Soumyodeep Basu, a first-year MBA student at SIBM Bengaluru. Born in Kolkata and brought up in Mumbai, he completed his graduation in Civil engineering from the University of Mumbai in 2015. After having worked for some time in the construction sector, he decided to pursue his higher studies and opted for an MBA. He appeared for SNAP in which he scored 99.17%ile. He is currently in the second semester of his MBA and wishes to take up Marketing as his specialisation in his second year.
