With the other management entrance exams like SNAP, CMAT, XAT around the corner, it is time for aspirants to gear up and start preparing. Unlike CAT, exams like CMAT, MAT, XAT have separate General Awareness sections. Though aspirants find GK questions very intimidating, experts say it is one of the easiest sections to tackle. If the candidate is well prepared, GK questions can help him enhance his overall accuracy. There is either a right or a wrong answer. There is absolutely no room for confusion. As GK-based questions do not involve any calculation or analysis, it the least time-consuming section and it gives the opportunity to answer more questions in lesser time.

Meet Manoj Srikantam, a first-year MBA student at SIBM Bengaluru. Born and raised in Hyderabad, he completed his Computer Science engineering from JNTU in 2016. To enhance his career in the corporate world and to understand the working of it, Manoj decided to do an MBA and started preparing for competitive exams. The preparation lasted for 3 months after which he secured 98.9 percentile in SNAP. He joined SIBM Bengaluru and is currently in the second semester of his MBA. Manoj believes that scoring a 98 percentile in SNAP and getting an admission requires a lot of skills but it can be made easy by the right preparation, which he also calls as “plan-of-action”.

Meet Aditya Ranjan, a first-year student at SIBM Bengaluru who hails from Mumbai. After completing his engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication from Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology (D.Y Patil), Mumbai University, Aditya worked for one year in the Sagar Defence Engineering and US MNC SENSUS. To improve his career prospects, Aditya decided to do an MBA and appeared for the SNAP exam in which he scored 98.70%ile. He is currently studying in the second semester of his MBA and wishes to take up Finance as his specialisation in his second year.
