In the times of increasing competition, all the colleges have started to look for building a strong competitive sustainable advantage for themselves. IIM Kashipur, keeping up with the changing times, started expanding its reach into international markets by starting a student exchange programme with a couple of French Universities. First time, 6 students were sent to complete a term (out of the 6 they were supposed to complete according to their academic curriculum) in France.

A European Treat to remember!

A European Treat to remember!

Student Exchange programs at the different B-Schools are an integral part of the whole experience that the 2-years of management degree offers. Besides the peer learning in terms of academics, these programs offer both the incoming students and the host school students to know a bit more about the culture of their classmates from the other side of the world. IIM Lucknow welcomes students from a diverse set of schools to its campus every year and as the term is nearing its end, the exchange students got together to give the hosts a flavor of their hospitality and their culture. The very jovial exchange students put together a sumptuous Euro Dinner and also organized a fun-filled Euro night which was a refreshing break for the students and faculty alike.

Travelogues of a student backpacking in Europe

Travelogues of a student backpacking in Europe

Sitting in front of my notebook, I am confounded – for I have absolutely no idea how to begin! A random swarm of alphabets swirls in my mind which tries desperately to organize them into meaningful words – such are the experiences - variegated as diversely as the terrain of the European continent!  Indeed, it was once in a lifetime opportunity in my student life as I chose to experience 1 of my 6 trimesters at EM Strasbourg Business School in Strasbourg, France. A hectic schedule is what typifies any B School life. It wasn’t too different here either, but with the liberties given in terms of selection of courses and designing your own class schedule combined with a unique experience of interacting with 140 exchange students from around 40 nationalities made it a remarkable journey indeed.

Life at a B-school is waking up every morning the way a lion does only to realize that it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you better start running. And it is a rather long run, two years to be exact.
