In 2011, over 2500 students graduated from the top B schools in India that we cover. We thought we should build some insight into how people do 18 months after graduation i.e. see how many people switch jobs in the first 18 months after graduation.
It’s February and I hope everyone would have commenced planning about the closure of their books of accounts. The most important aspect that needs consideration while planning is how to effectively reduce one’s income-tax liability for the current year (FY 2013).
InsideIIM caught up with Aditya Radhakrishnan, Deputy Manager - Marketing (KamaSutra) at Raymond Ltd. He is an alumnus of IIM Indore and was part of the Klueless Team in 2009 (Klueless is IIM Indore's legendary online game that attracts millions of page views each year). We thought it would be great to talk to a graduate 2 years into his marketing job. During his last 2 years, he had a great opportunity to be part of an exciting product launch - KamaSutra's 'KS' Energy Drink. He is also an alumnus of the prestigious BITS, Pilani and has worked with HSBC in the past.
We continue the consulting series with realistic job previews of various consulting roles, describing what a B-school campus recruit at the associate/consultant/senior consultant level can expect from such roles. Pardon me if the actual job descriptions sound somewhat quotidian, unremarkable and deglamorized, for that is exactly the idea – to get to the meat of the job and see what it tastes, rather than ruminating over every company’s banal PR spin about its unique work culture. Basically, All consulting recruits from campus can expect a mixture of project work and business development (BD) support work.
