Overcoming Life's Challenges - Ankit Tripathi, TAPMI

Overcoming Life's Challenges - Ankit Tripathi, TAPMI

I come from a humble background, my father is a first generation lawyer and mother, a homemaker. I started my primary education from a village school while I was staying with my grandparents. After sometime my parents decided to shift me to an urban English medium school at the age of 7. My exposure to challenge started from there, where apart from elevating myself academically I had to adjust myself in the complete new environment. Interacting and making friends seemed a herculean task in itself. I then devised a plan with the help of my grandfather who used to tell me stories of his challenges and how he conquered them, he advised me to take every challenge as an opportunity to move ahead, learn new things and grow. Every challenge brings with itself an innate learning, I have to grasp that learning with both hands and apply that in similar future situations.

Growing up in a middle-class family, I learned how to value money since an early age. I realised my responsibilities and I was constantly motivated by the irreplaceable satisfaction that comes after achieving the set goals despite the roadblocks. In college I was involved in activities that came with challenges and strong competitions. As I had to manage these extra-curricular activities and my regular college simultaneously, time management was learnt hands-on. Moreover, the extra-curricular activities imposed additional expenses. So I learnt to manage my expenses including my college fees, hostel fees, mess bill from the merit based scholarship that I received. These years taught me to invest money wisely and it laid the foundation for my future.

I had done by graduation from Aditya Birla Groups Bits Pilani college. The college helped me achieve my ambition of becoming a quality engineer. The quality of teachers is really good there, always ready to help. The college made me a better person, groomed me and made me ready to face the world.  Two years back, I had my job interview. For last one week, I had prepared really hard for this, I read newspapers, brushed up my technical skills and practiced with my brother. This job interview was really important for me as it was my dream company. On the day of my interview, my mom bought fresh vegetables, bread fruits and milk from more departmental store, she prepared cold coffee for me and cut some fruits. The fruits were so fresh and gave me energy for interview. She then prepared some lunch for me and packed it. I packed my bag, kept all documents and left home, but on my way, I fell on the road and dirtied all my clothes. Thanks to ABG’s pantaloons, I saw a store near my location, I rushed there bought new clothes and went for my interview. The interview went well, and I was selected. Aditya Birla Group helped me to achieve my ambition in life. Which is why I consider Aditya Birla Group to be big in my life. In a way I always associate it to be a premium conglomerate with all of its brands connecting with masses as well as classicality  #NMIMSBanglore #ABGLPWooMe

Did you know that the clothes we wear can have a subtle effect on your anxiety and confidence levels?Certain types of clothing can significantly decrease our levels of anxiety, while other types of clothing can increase your anxiety as well as negatively impact your self-confidence. I’m personally a believer in the notion that wearing fashionable but, at the same time comfortable clothes can make us more charismatic and likable, and in turn, more confident.

It was my 15th birthday and I had just got a new mobile phone as a gift. I had always been a huge fan of the Abhishek Bachchan starring 'Idea' ads, so I went to my nearest 'recharge store' and 'got Idea'. For the next couple of years, 'Idea' became my best friend. It was there when I asked someone out for the first time in life, it was there when I called up my parents to tell them I had failed a test, it was there when I had my first heartbreak, and it was there for every moment before and after. They say that the years 16 through 19 are the years you grow up- from being a happy-go-lucky teenager to a young man with actual responsibilities. Well then in a sense, Idea was there while I was growing up- through happiness and through pain. The low cost group calling kept friends together, the free messages per day kept long distance relationships alive and the Idea Internet Network got us through last minute project submissions. Not all heroes wear capes.
