A challenge is a dare to our confidence, commitment, abilities and strengths. It something that puts us through test. Anything is a challenge if it dares us to perform. As a child I was a very happy-go-lucky individual, oblivious or rather highly ignorant of what was expected of me. A notorious kid as I was, I never studied, and my poor graded clearly reflected it. I even repeated my LKG. Despite it I never studied until the day my mother was called to the school to write my notes of an entire term. It was painful to see her writing all day long from morning to two hours in excess of the closing school bell. It was then when I started to study and gave it my best. It was a result of this decision that I got a certificate in General Knowledge. We had three exams in a term and if we secured an A+ (Excellent Grade) in each of them, we used to get a certificate. It was a result of this focus that I got an A+ for the first time ever. For a student never gotten more than E/D (Poor Grades), an A+ was a big deal and hence it drove me to test my capabilities and gave me a zeal to secure A+ for the rest of my General Knowledge exams. I got a certificate and hence learnt that focus, dedication, zeal and baby successes are some powerful motivators which can drive us to outshine any challenge irrespective of how herculean it might be. As I accepted the challenge to better my academics, I learnt a lot and the lessons learnt then are still helpful to me in maintaining my academic consistency and various extra-curricular tasks.
