How I overcame a Challenge
‘Life is what you make it.’ This is the title of a book I have read. It has been some time since I have read it but the title is something which still strikes a chord. It tells me to take charge of my life and move ahead.
I remember one such occasion in my life. It was when I had failed in IPCC. I had always been a good student. I had never failed and was always in the top half of my batch. Therefore, when I saw the letters “FAIL”, I could not come to terms with it. I was in a shock and could not think anything. In anger in that moment, I decided to leave this course to pursue something else. However, with time, I started to accept the result. It took a lot of introspection and support from my family and close friends to get me out of the depressed state I was in. I said to myself that this is a professional examination. Even the best ones fail in it. The “FAIL” does not determine that I am not fit for the course. After a lot of motivation from my family and myself, I decided to get up and give another shot at IPCC. I knew the effort involved in it especially when I had already covered the syllabus once before. It was tough but I prepared for it. In this attempt I cleared IPCC with flying colours. When I look back, I think that the “FAIL” result was important and it taught me something that I would not have learned had I passed in first attempt. It helped build perseverance and mental fortitude. It made me realise that life will not always go as expected and one should not be disheartened by failures. Failures are a part of life and they make you what you are.
Why Aditya Birla Group is Big in my Life
After IPCC, the next stage in CA is articleship. I was excited to be a part of office for the first time. I wanted to wear the best possible formals I could. After talks with my friends and family, I decided to shop from Allen Solly and Louis Philippe. I was impressed by the collection they had. This got me interested in knowing who the parent company of these brands is. I got to know it was the Aditya Birla Group. I decided to try some other Aditya Birla Group products. I tried Pantaloons and Peter England for casuals and formal wear respectively. Again impressed by what they had to offer, I decided to opt for something other than fashion products. I bought Freshwrapp to carry lunch whenever I am travelling on account of work. I bought myself an Idea SIM. The service it offers is amazing. I am happy to have shopped from Aditya Birla Group. It does not disappoint me. It always has what I seek and this is what has made me buy regularly from Louis Philippe, Pantaloons, Allen Solly or Peter England when it comes to fashion and Freshwrapp when I have to travel. Aditya Birla Group has also made its presence felt via Ultra Tech Cement. It is impossible to not have walked in a building not made with Ultra Tech Cement. It is amazing to see a conglomerate of this size and scale deliver so well on so many fronts. I want to conclude by saying that Aditya Birla Group has helped me extensively.
