When I was working in IBM, I decided to pursue an MBA to fulfill my dreams. I attempted CAT in 2016 but couldn’t get a good percentile. I was depressed and sad as I worked hard and really wanted to do MBA. I was not able to concentrate on studies due to work pressure in office and shift issues. I realized if I plan to continue both job and studies for one more year, I may not be able to pursue MBA. So, I decided to quit my job and concentrate on studies. Many people at office suggested me not to quit the job because there is no guarantee that I will get good result next year and it would be tough for me to find another job. But with the support of my parents and friends, I took the decision and resigned to the job.
It was not as easy as I thought it would be, although I was working hard I was not able to get good marks in mock tests initially and I was really tensed by thinking about the future if I will not be able to clear CAT. This created a lot of pressure on me. But I realized self-confidence, hard work and strong will are the most important things to keep a person motivated. So, I worked even more harder and finally I got a good percentile in CAT in 2017 and I got into one of the top MBA colleges in the country.
