Since my father served the Indian Navy, I have been exposed to different leaders in his organisation since my childhood. I gained adaptability and became very flexible in adjusting to different cultures. Participating in various adventure camps and sports activities helped me gain skills such as team spirit, leadership and discipline and the exposure I got improved my confidence.
My interest in electronics from a young age, helped me to secure my first position at the National Science Exhibition in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. It added fuel to my love of electronics and led me to graduate from GITAM University in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Due to my inclination towards Defence forces, I decided to join National Cadet Corps (NCC) in the army wing, and this helped me build my physical and mental stamina and made me courageous. Attending various camps helped me in developing discipline, leadership and shaped my personality. Due to my cooperative nature and dedication I was appointed as the Under Officer in NCC. This gave me a sense of responsibility and improved my management skills. At the same time, I was also associated with the Student Chapter of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (IETE), where I was appointed as the student chapter's treasurer after a year of hard work and dedication. My good organizational skill helped me to manage both NCC and IETE roles smoothly, apart from securing decent score in my academics.
Post Engineering, I was selected in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and was involved in developing and delivering security solutions. My work has helped me to gain knowledge about how security policies are designed, how vulnerabilities on networks can be exploited by attackers and how secure networks can be designed. It has also introduced me to the challenges of building middle ware for manufacturing systems. Heading different projects and delivering them to the customer's expectations helped me to be recognized and awarded by TCS leadership for outstanding performance.
I decided to pursue PGDM at TAPMI in order to upgrade my professional and managerial skills. At TAPMI, I'm partnering with different committees. I decided to become a member of the Treasury Committee because of my interest in finance. I'm also a member of Samnidhy working as an equity analyst. In addition, I also work as an Associate Financial Advisor with ArthNivesh. It is a challenging task to be part of three different committee at TAPMI, as it required a lot of organizing skills to allocate time fairly and to do justice to my role. This also improved my multi - tasking skill and improved my adaptability. All my past life experiences have led me to the role of batch representative in the Student Executive Council and I have taken on the responsibility. I also ensured that I manage my academics and secured good grades. In addition, I never missed the chance to represent my section in various events such as basketball, football and athletics. All this improved my relationship with my batch mates and helped me develop my network with seniors and alumni.
I believe that all this has helped me understand the strengths of my leadership and helped me develop a plan to improve my leadership skills. It has also given me a platform to confront an executive's real - time challenges. It has enabled me to improve my team work skills and helped me to better motivate my team members and achieve our goals through my previous exposure to various committees.
