CMAT or Common Management Admission Test, is a computer-based test conducted by NTA annually. This year CMAT 2025 will be conducted on 25 January 2025. NTA has begun the registrations for CMAT, and the last date to apply is 13 December 2024 until 9:50 P.M. It is a 3-hour test comprising 100 questions from 5 sections:  Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

CMAT 2025 Syllabus and Exam Pattern 

The syllabus for CMAT is similar to that of CAT and other OMETs. The topics you have previously covered in Quants, Logical Reasoning, and Data Interpretation and Verbal will be sufficient for the CMAT examination. In addition, you need to prepare for GK and start-up eco-system-based questions for the other two sections unique to this exam.

  1. Eligibility for the CMAT is similar to that of other management exams. Graduate students and final-year students are both eligible for the CMAT 2025 examination.
  2. Unlike other exams, there is no minimum graduation score requirement to appear for the CMAT 2025 exam.
  3. The application fee for the General Male category is Rs. 2500 and Rs. 1250 for Female and Reserved category candidates.

Ans. Around 70,000 students will register for the CMAT exam.

Q.2 Is CMAT tougher than CAT?

Ans. No, CMAT is generally considered easier than CAT. It has 100 questions to be answered with no sectional time limit of 3 hrs.

Q.3 How many marks are required for a 99 percentile in CMAT?

Ans. A score of around 350-360 marks will fetch you the 99th percentile marks.
